ABOUT natalie

Originally from Brenham, Texas, I am a UNC Chapel Hill grad now based in Las Vegas, Nevada. I currently work as a show and podcast host for the Celebrity Poker Tour and as a freelance sports reporter. I also cover the World Series of Poker.

Formerly, I worked as a Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for Hearst Television's KOAT7 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Here I anchored sportscasts every weekend, reported during the week and produced feature packages.

Prior to that, as a freelance reporter, I covered college sports as a sideline reporter on ESPN+ and ACC Network Extra. In 2023, I served as a sideline reporter for Kennesaw State's college football, volleyball and men's and women's basketball coverage on ESPN+. I also served as a sideline reporter for FCS football. Additionally, I worked as a sports betting host for the New York Yankees in weekly DraftKings sponsored segments on YES Network and Amazon Prime Video as part of a 19-game package.

My initial experience in the industry came from working as an on-air analyst for North Carolina high school sports in college. I covered playoffs and state championships for the NFHS Network. Next, I had the opportunity to become the first on-air student analyst for ACC Network Extra at UNC. I simultaneously worked as an analyst/host for the NWSL on NBC5. My senior year I pitched my own show and hosted nearly 40 in-studio interviews with UNC athletes and coaches for a series named "Tar Heel Talks."

At the end of college, I interned with Turner/WBD Sports on the NCAA Digital team. I began by programming the NCAA.com website. From there, outside of my daily tasks I began to pitch additional content ideas. Within months, I was brought on for my first full-time job post-grad, covering all NCAA sports in both written and digital content. I was also sent to cover NCAA media days and championship games as a digital sideline reporter. This job allowed me to learn to do it all-- from programming and coding a website on the back end, to writing articles and publishing written content, to pitching, producing, hosting and editing interviews before distributing them on our social platforms and website.

A year later, I began working as a host, content creator and strategist for Bleacher Report betting. I was a show host on behalf of DraftKings and FanDuel and starred in digital content daily. I specialized in social strategy and account growth, helping to grow the BR Betting TikTok account from <9,000 followers to 700,000+ during my stint. While working in digital media full time, I was mindful of getting live broadcast reps as well. I traveled nearly every week to sideline reporting/hosting assignments outside of work hours.
My dream scenario as a reporter/host is to cover the best of college sports year round: College Football, March Madness, the road to Omaha and the College World Series, then wrap up the sports calendar in July and go cover the World Series of Poker Main Event!
